What We Do

MYI develops young people into becoming the future leaders of our community through knowledge, understanding and application.
Our HALAQAS

Halaqas are a very important building block of MYI. It is in our halaqas that we share stories, learn and get to know more about the principles of Islam. Our aim is to ensure our weekly halaqas are maintained, whilst also working on expanding our circles and introducing more halaqas around Ireland.

MYI holds a variety of fun events during the year. From camps to trips to dinners, it’s all part of the fun environment we hope to build up more and more as we go. Keep an eye out for different events announced throughout the year!

OUR YOUTH CLUB

Our Youth Club is one of our proudest accomplishments. We are constantly working on making it better. A lot of our halaqas and events are held in it. We have a pool table, table football, a ping pong table, two flatscreens and more fun stuff!

MYI was founded in 2007 with a vision to bring together the Muslim youth in Ireland under one organisation. Fairly recent, MYI quickly became an organisation that’s main purpose is catering to the youth, and we are in a continuous state of growth.
We operate on a simple structure of a committee that works together to ensure MYI provides what is best for the youth. We have a president, two vice presidents, two deputy vice presidents, a treasurer, a general secretary and a communications officer. To find out more about our current committee click here.
Muslim Youth Ireland (MYI) is a national youth organisation with the vision of becoming the voice of Muslim youth in Ireland. We strive to provide a holistic Islamic atmosphere where lifelong bonds of brotherhood/sisterhood are forged. We envision the youth to become future community leaders and positive contributors to Irish society. We believe in the importance of knowing, understanding, and fulfilling our individual and collective obligations as Muslims.
